Returns & Refunds

Our low-cost return policy

NZink sells low-cost consumables with simple packaging and a basic online service. We do not offer a standard change-of-mind return, trial-use programme or refund for a non-faulty product correctly supplied when the customer has selected the wrong model.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Low prices, white-box packaging and clearance labels do not remove those rights.

Faulty, incorrect, missing or damaged goods

Contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a problem. Include your order number, product code, full printer model, a description of the issue and useful photographs or error messages. For delivery damage or missing items, retain the parcel, courier label and packaging while we investigate.

We may request reasonable troubleshooting information or ask to inspect the product. You do not have to buy another cartridge simply to submit a claim. Opening or installing a product does not by itself remove your rights if the goods are faulty.

Where a legal remedy is due, we will provide an appropriate repair, replacement or refund at no charge within a reasonable time. For a substantial failure, the remedies available under law apply, including your right to choose a refund or replacement where applicable. We do not require you to accept store credit instead of a refund you are legally entitled to.

Arranging a return

Please contact us before sending a product back so we can give you the return reference and correct address. The registered office is not an advertised returns depot. Keep the product until assessment or return instructions are provided, and package an authorised return securely.

Where a return is needed for a confirmed fault or an error for which NZink is responsible, we will arrange or cover reasonable return delivery costs. We do not deduct restocking or payment-processing fees from a refund required for such a problem. Lack of original retail packaging does not automatically disqualify a statutory claim.

Customer-selection errors and discretionary exceptions

Check compatibility, colour, pack size, region and chip requirements before ordering. If NZink supplied the non-faulty product ordered but you chose the wrong item or changed your mind, a return is not normally available. If we agree to an exception, the product must generally be unused and resalable, and the deadline, return shipping cost and any deduction will be agreed with you in writing before the return.

Those discretionary conditions do not apply to a remedy required by law, including where an item was misdescribed or supplied incorrectly.

Refunds and enquiries

Approved refunds are normally made to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to show the funds. We will explain the outcome of our assessment and any agreed deductions.

Submit a written enquiry through our Contact Us form or the return request form. A submitted form is a request for assessment, not automatic approval of a refund. Last updated: 27 September 2026.
